Nothing’s sub-brand CMF has finally launched its first phone after a month of anticipation. Now, the spotlight shifts back to Nothing’s flagship brand, which is set to release a new version of its mid-range device at the end of this month, on July 31. The new model, Nothing Phone (2a) Plus, is being promoted with the tagline “Plus. More. Extra.” Although the specifics are still unclear, it’s clear that this device will be an upgraded version of the Nothing Phone (2a).
What to Expect from Phone 2a Plus
One of the anticipated upgrades could be broader availability. The Nothing Phone (2a) is currently only accessible through the Developer Program and unavailable in the US market. The promotional images feature peculiar grooves, reminiscent of the wireless charging coil seen in the Nothing Phone (2). This has led to speculation that the Nothing Phone 2a Plus might include wireless charging capabilities, which the 2a lacks.
Since its debut in March, the 2a has yet to receive significant updates, apart from the introduction of a new Blue colorway in April. Looking ahead, Nothing’s next flagship model, the Nothing Phone (3), is scheduled for release in 2025.
