What new spy shots say
Immediately diving into the spy shots, we can clearly discern the fresh front design of the Thar 5-door. The grille is noticeably different, featuring both vertical and horizontal inserts. Accompanying this, circular LED projector headlamps are flanked by LED turn indicators. The front bumper has undergone subtle modifications, particularly around the fog lamps. Notably, the hood exhibits a pronounced bump, possibly indicating a hood scoop. In the side profile, we notice several irregularities, likely attributed to the test mule’s disguise. In sum, the 5-door Thar exudes a commanding road presence.
Other expected features
The interior of the Thar 5-door is set to receive enhancements and additional creature comforts. Anticipated updates encompass a modern 10-inch floating infotainment system, likely accompanied by revamped upholstery and HVAC controls. Previous spy shots have verified the inclusion of a sunroof and a center armrest, among other features. As for the specifications, the 5-door Thar is expected to offer a choice between the 2.0-liter petrol engine producing 200bhp and 370Nm of torque, and the 2.2-liter diesel engine delivering 172bhp and 370Nm. Transmission options should encompass both manual and automatic choices for these powerplants.
